🌅 Warm-Up (5 min)

Transport survey: how did everyone get to school today? Tally the results — now learn the Arabic words.

Main Activities

  1. 1Teach transport vocabulary: سيارة (car), حافلة (bus), قطار (train), طائرة (plane), دراجة (bicycle), سفينة (ship), تاكسي (taxi), مترو (metro), مشي (walking), دراجة نارية (motorcycle)
  2. 2Travel phrases: أذهب بالسيارة (I go by car), أسافر بالطائرة (I travel by plane)

Giving and Following Directions

Blindfold walk: one student is blindfolded, partner gives directions in Arabic to reach a destination in the classroom.

Main Activities

  1. 1Review and expand directional vocabulary: اذهب مباشرة (go straight), انعطف يميناً (turn right), انعطف يساراً (turn left), عند التقاطع (at the junction), بعد المسجد (after the mosque)
  2. 2Map activity: listen to directions and trace the route on a city map

Journey memory: think of a trip you took — where did you go? How? What did you do? Share one fact in Arabic.

Dream destination: if you could travel anywhere in the Arab world, where would you go? Quick discussion.

Main Activities

  1. 1Write about a dream holiday using future tense: "سأسافر إلى المغرب. سأزور مراكش. سآكل الكسكس."
  2. 2Combine all three tenses: "العام الماضي ذهبت إلى... عادةً أسافر... في المستقبل سأذهب إلى..."
