My First Sentences

Lesson Objectives
- Say "Ana..." (I am...) followed by a describing word
- Form a simple sentence in Arabic
🌅 Warm-Up (5 min)
How do you describe yourself? Happy, tall, kind? Let's learn to say these in Arabic!
Main Activities
- 1Introduce "Ana..." (أنا — I am) + adjectives: sa'iid (happy), haziyn (sad), kabir (big/old)
- 2Emotion charades: act out an emotion — class says "Ana sa'iid!" or "Ana haziyn!"
- 3Write 4 "Ana..." sentences about yourself
- 4Pair share: read your sentences to a partner

- Combine "Urid" with vocabulary from this year
🌅 Warm-Up (5 min)
Recap "Ana" sentences — each child shares one "Ana..." sentence.
Main Activities
- 1Review "Urid..." (أريد — I want) and combine with new vocabulary: fruits, drinks, objects
- 2Sentence building: use word cards to build "Urid" sentences physically on the table
- 3Role-play: at a cafe or shop, order items using "Urid... min fadlak"
- 4Write 4 "Urid..." sentences and illustrate them

- Form sentences with "Hadha..." (this is) for masculine and "Hadhihi..." for feminine
- Point to objects and name them in Arabic
🌅 Warm-Up (5 min)
Object naming: teacher points to objects — children say the Arabic name if they know it!
Main Activities
- 1Practise "Hadha kitaab" (this is a book), "Hadhihi tuffaha" (this is an apple)
- 2Classroom walk: point to objects and say "Hadha..." or "Hadhihi..."
- 3Write 6 "Hadha/Hadhihi" sentences about objects in the room
- 4Complete the writing practice worksheet for all sentence types
