  • Say "Urid..." (I want...) in Arabic
  • Use "Urid" with familiar vocabulary

🌅 Warm-Up (5 min)

Vocab warm-up: name 5 foods, 5 animals, and 5 colours in Arabic — we will use these with new phrases!

Main Activities

  1. 1Introduce "Urid..." (أريد — I want) — practise the phrase with gestures (reaching hands out)
  2. 2Practice round: "Urid maa" (I want water), "Urid tuffaha" (I want an apple)
  3. 3Shopping role-play: use "Urid... min fadlak" (I want... please) at a pretend shop
  4. 4Complete the writing practice worksheet: write "Urid" + vocabulary words

🌅 Warm-Up (5 min)

Recap "Urid" with a quick round: each child says one thing they want in Arabic.

Main Activities

  1. 1Introduce "Uhibbu..." (أحب — I like) — practise with a heart gesture
  2. 2Survey: "Uhibbu qitta" (I like cats), "Uhibbu asfar" (I like yellow) — everyone shares
  3. 3Sort vocabulary into "Uhibbu" (I like) and "La uhibbu" (I don't like) columns
  4. 4Write 4 sentences: "Uhibbu..." with things they genuinely like

  • Answer simple yes/no questions in Arabic

Thumbs up / thumbs down: teacher says "Uhibbu [thing]" — thumbs up if you like it, down if not!

Main Activities

  1. 1Introduce "Na'am" (نعم — yes) and "La" (لا — no) — simple and essential!
  2. 2Question practice: "Hal tuhibbu...?" (Do you like...?) — children answer "Na'am" or "La"
  3. 3Circle game: teacher asks yes/no questions in Arabic — children stand for yes, sit for no
  4. 4Complete the vocab cards matching everyday phrases to meanings
