Red, Blue, Yellow!

Lesson Objectives

  • Say "ahmar" (red), "azraq" (blue), "asfar" (yellow)
  • Point to correct colours when hearing Arabic names

🌅 Warm-Up (5 min)

Show colourful objects and call out colours in English — then say "Now in Arabic!"

Main Activities

  1. 1Introduce red (أحمر), blue (أزرق), yellow (أصفر) with large colour cards — say each word 3 times
  2. 2Colour touch: "Touch something ahmar!" — children race to touch a red object
  3. 3Colour sorting: sort coloured buttons or crayons while saying the Arabic colour name
  4. 4Complete the colour matching section of the colours worksheet

Colour flashcard speed round: hold up red, blue, yellow — children shout the Arabic name!

Main Activities
