Vocabulary Audit: What Do I Know?
Lesson Objectives
- Recall vocabulary from all topic areas studied since Year 7
- Identify personal vocabulary strengths and gaps
🌅 Warm-Up (5 min)
Speed recall: 60-second topic blitz — teacher calls a topic, students write as many Arabic words as possible. Repeat for 5 topics.
Main Activities
- 1Complete a vocabulary audit across all domains: family, school, food, hobbies, transport, weather, jobs, health, nature, places
- 2Traffic light assessment: green = I know this well, amber = I sort of know it, red = I need to relearn this
- 3Create a personal revision priority list based on the audit results
- 4Vocab cards worksheet: write revision cards for your top 20 "red" and "amber" words
