Introduction to the Past Tense

🌅 Warm-Up (5 min)
Yesterday challenge: what did you do yesterday? List 10 activities in English — we will learn to say them in Arabic.
Main Activities
- 1Explain that past tense in Arabic uses suffixes (endings) rather than prefixes — contrast with present tense
- 2Introduce the base form: كتبَ (he wrote) — the "he" form is the simplest and the dictionary form
- 3Show the feminine form: كتبَت (she wrote) — just add ت
- 4Practice conjugating 5 common verbs in هو and هي forms: كتب، ذهب، أكل، قرأ، لعب
