Neighbourhood brainstorm: list all the places and people in your neighbourhood — how many can you say in Arabic?
Main Activities
- 1Introduce community vocabulary: مجتمع (community), جار (neighbour), حي (neighbourhood), شارع (street), ساحة (square/plaza)
- 2Combine with known place vocabulary: مسجد, مدرسة, مستشفى, حديقة, سوق, مكتبة
- 3Write descriptive sentences: "في حيّي مسجد كبير ومدرسة جميلة" (In my neighbourhood there is a big mosque and a beautiful school)
- 4Complete the Community Vocab Cards worksheet
