Getting Dressed in Arabic

  • Use "I am wearing..." in Arabic

🌅 Warm-Up (5 min)

Point to clothing items in the room and say their Arabic names — can the class guess?

Main Activities

  1. 1Introduce 8 clothing items using picture cards (shirt, trousers, dress, shoes, jacket, hat, scarf, socks)
  2. 2Vocabulary card activity: match Arabic word to picture
  3. 3Describe what you are wearing using "أنا ألبس..." (Ana albas...)

Quick fire: hold up a coloured piece of clothing — pupils say the Arabic colour + clothing item.

Main Activities

  2. 2Combine with colour adjectives: "القميص الأحمر" (the red shirt) — noting adjective placement
  3. 3Design an outfit on paper and label everything in Arabic
  4. 4Share designs with a partner and describe in Arabic
