My Full Introduction

35–45 minutes

Lesson Objectives

  • Introduce yourself fully in Arabic (name, age, family)
  • Speak confidently in front of others

🌅 Warm-Up (5 min)

Recall from Year 2: say "Ismi... Umri... sanawaat" — let's build on this!

Main Activities

  1. 1Model a full introduction: name, age, where you are from, family members
  2. 2Each child writes a 5-sentence introduction in Arabic using a scaffold template
  3. 3Practise reading the introduction aloud to a partner — give feedback
  4. 4Add details: "Uhibbu..." (I like) to personalise the introduction

Things I Like

  • Say 3 things they like in Arabic
  • Add "Uhibbu" sentences to their introduction

🌅 Warm-Up (5 min)

Quick round: each child says one thing they like in Arabic — "Uhibbu..."

Main Activities

  1. 1Expand vocabulary for likes: sports, foods, animals, colours — practise "Uhibbu + noun"
  2. 2Write 3 "Uhibbu" sentences with illustrations
  3. 3Interview a partner: ask "Ma tuhibbu?" (What do you like?) and record answers
  4. 4Add likes to the written introduction from Lesson 1

Asking About Others

35–45 minutes

Lesson Objectives

  • Ask someone about themselves in Arabic
  • Hold a basic Arabic conversation about identity

🌅 Warm-Up (5 min)

Question practice: "Ma ismuka?" "Kam umruka?" — practise asking questions.

Main Activities

  1. 1Teach question forms: "Ma ismuka?" (name), "Kam umruka?" (age), "Min ayna anta?" (where from?)
  2. 2Conversation practice: pairs take turns interviewing each other fully in Arabic
  3. 3Write a profile of your partner based on the interview in Arabic
  4. 4Complete the writing practice worksheet for questions and answers

  • Present a confident, full self-introduction in Arabic
  • Write a short paragraph about themselves

🌅 Warm-Up (5 min)

Warm-up rehearsal: practise your introduction one more time with a partner.

Main Activities

  1. 1Each child presents their "All About Me" introduction to the class (5+ sentences)
  2. 2Audience listens and writes one fact they learned about each presenter
  3. 3Create an "All About Me" display card for the classroom wall
  4. 4Complete the vocab cards worksheet reviewing all introduction vocabulary
