Lesson Objectives

🌅 Warm-Up (5 min)
Recall from Year 2: say "Ismi... Umri... sanawaat" — let's build on this!
Main Activities
- 1Model a full introduction: name, age, where you are from, family members
- 2Each child writes a 5-sentence introduction in Arabic using a scaffold template
- 3Practise reading the introduction aloud to a partner — give feedback
- 4Add details: "Uhibbu..." (I like) to personalise the introduction

Quick round: each child says one thing they like in Arabic — "Uhibbu..."
Main Activities
- 1Expand vocabulary for likes: sports, foods, animals, colours — practise "Uhibbu + noun"
- 2Write 3 "Uhibbu" sentences with illustrations
- 3Interview a partner: ask "Ma tuhibbu?" (What do you like?) and record answers
- 4Add likes to the written introduction from Lesson 1

Question practice: "Ma ismuka?" "Kam umruka?" — practise asking questions.
Main Activities
- 1Teach question forms: "Ma ismuka?" (name), "Kam umruka?" (age), "Min ayna anta?" (where from?)
- 2Conversation practice: pairs take turns interviewing each other fully in Arabic
- 3Write a profile of your partner based on the interview in Arabic
- 4Complete the writing practice worksheet for questions and answers
