Days and Introductions Review

Days of the week song — sing it together to warm up!

Main Activities

  1. 1Days challenge: arrange day cards in order and recite them in Arabic
  2. 2Introduction practice: each child gives their Arabic introduction to a partner
  3. 3Combine: "Al-yawm Al-Ithnayn. Ismi [name]. Umri [age] sanawaat."
  4. 4Create an introduction card that includes the day, name, and age in Arabic

Phrase speed round: teacher describes a situation — children call out the Arabic phrase!

Main Activities

  1. 1Phrase matching game: match each phrase to its context on a worksheet
  2. 2Shape hunt: find and name shapes around the classroom in Arabic
  3. 3Combine shapes and colours: "Da'ira hamra" (red circle), "Murabba' azraq" (blue square)

Class count: how many Arabic words does the class know? Brainstorm together!

Main Activities

  1. 1Year 2 quiz: teams compete answering questions from all topics this year
  2. 2Create a "What I Learned in Year 2" page with favourite words and phrases
  3. 3Each child shares one thing they are proud of learning in Arabic this year
