Lesson Objectives
- Say "sitta ashar" (16) and "sab'ata ashar" (17)
- Count from 1 to 17 in sequence

Count from 1 to 15 together — show off your Year 2 counting skills!
Main Activities
- 1Introduce 16 (ستة عشر) and 17 (سبعة عشر) — spot the pattern: unit + ashar
- 2Counting chain around the room from 1 to 17
- 3Write Eastern Arabic numerals ١٦ and ١٧ — practise on whiteboards
- 4Number card matching: connect the numeral to the Arabic word

- 2Note: 20 is "Ishruun" — a new word, not following the teen pattern
