What Colour Is the Cat?

Lesson Objectives

  • Combine a colour word with an animal name
  • Know colour comes after the noun in Arabic

🌅 Warm-Up (5 min)

Quick colour and animal recap: flash 5 colour cards and 5 animal cards — can they name them all?

Main Activities

  1. 1Teach word order: in Arabic the colour comes AFTER the animal — "Qitta bayda" (white cat)
  2. 2Model 5 examples: brown dog, grey elephant, orange cat, white rabbit, black horse
  3. 3Matching activity: connect animal cards with colour cards to make descriptions
  4. 4Complete the picture-vocab worksheet: label colourful animals in Arabic
