Photo carousel: display 8 photos of famous Arab dishes — learners name as many as they can and guess the country of origin.

Main Activities

  1. 1Vocabulary building: key food terms — مكونات (ingredients), توابل (spices), مشوي (grilled), مقلي (fried), مطبوخ (cooked)
  2. 2Country-dish matching: connect dishes to their countries — كسكس/المغرب, كبسة/السعودية, كشري/مصر, تبولة/لبنان
  3. 3Descriptive writing: write 4 detailed descriptions of Arab dishes using adjectives and food vocabulary
  4. 4Vocab cards: create illustrated cards for 12 dish names and 8 cooking method words

  2. 2Reading a hummus recipe in Arabic: identify ingredients and steps

  4. 4Writing: write your own simple recipe in Arabic using imperatives and sequencing words (أولا، ثم، بعد ذلك)
