🌅 Warm-Up (5 min)

Greetings recap: go around the circle, each child uses a different Arabic greeting.

Main Activities

  1. 1Introduce "min fadlak/min fadlik" (please — to a boy/girl) with a puppet show
  2. 2Practise: "Shukran" when receiving, "min fadlak" when asking — role-play giving and receiving
  3. 3Polite phrases poster: children decorate a "Please and Thank You" poster in Arabic
  4. 4Complete the vocab cards worksheet matching polite phrases to their meanings

Polite word chain: each child adds a polite phrase they know in Arabic or English.

Main Activities

  1. 1Introduce "Bismillah" — said before eating or starting something important
  2. 2Introduce "Alhamdulillah" — said after eating, when grateful, or when asked "How are you?"
  3. 3Snack time practice: say "Bismillah" together before a snack and "Alhamdulillah" after
  4. 4Create speech bubble cards with each phrase and illustrate when to use them

As-salamu Alaykum

Lesson Objectives

  • Say "As-salamu alaykum" (peace be upon you)
  • Reply with "Wa alaykum as-salam"

🌅 Warm-Up (5 min)

Pair greetings: greet 3 different classmates using any Arabic greeting you know.

Main Activities

  1. 1Teach "As-salamu alaykum" and the reply — practise the call-and-response
  2. 2Greeting relay: two lines face each other — step forward, greet, reply, move to the back
  3. 3Watch a short video of children greeting with "As-salamu alaykum"
  4. 4Complete the tracing worksheet: trace both phrases in Arabic script
